Hard to believe it has been a full year since you came into our lives! I have spent this special day, (while getting the house ready for your party) thinking about all that happened exactly one year ago. How it rained all day and that somehow that was the perfect weather as now rain always make me think of you. How ready I was to meet you. How I couldn’t have delivered you without the support and love of your father (although you were coming out no matter what ;-). How I never thought you would enter the world in a tub. How wonderful you felt on my chest when the midwives placed you there for the first time. How peaceful and complete I felt while I watched you sleep.

That fateful day, I was given a gift. I became your mom. A job that I cherish and feel I was always meant for. You feel so perfectly part of our family, I can’t imagine life before you (ok maybe sometimes I miss sleeping in ;-). You have given your Papa and me more joy and happiness then we thought possible. You have taught us how to be stronger, more patient, compassionate and about love is in its purest form.

Know that we will always be there for you and will love you always and forever.
